The Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) is excited to bid to host the XVI WFNS World Congress of Neurosurgery in London 2017.
The British Society is one of the oldest national neurosurgical associations and there is a rich history of neurosurgery and neurosurgeons in the United Kingdom and Ireland who continue to lead in the new developments of the specialty. It has served as the training ground for many throughout the world.
The Society has been holding national and international academic meetings since 1926 and has a wealth of experience in promoting communication of original research and supporting the life long learning of neurosurgeons.
A London meeting in 2017 will bring a 20 year return to Europe following Amsterdam in 1997, and 60 year Anniversary of the first ever Congress held in Brussels in 1957.
The congress venue will exploit the facilities of the 2012 Olympic village and the varied social programme will draw on the historic and cultural gems that London has to offer.
It would be a real pleasure and honour to welcome you all to London and renew friendships and forge new ones in this most cosmopolitan of world capitals.
